A collaboration between Tarndwarncoort and the Great Ocean Road Woollen Mill saw the birth of Southern Ocean – bringing hand-crafted, artisan yarn to life. This yarn was named after Eva Carmichael, one of only two survivors from the Loch Ard shipwreck of 1878.

The Great Ocean Road Woollen Mill have launched their exciting new garment line – Zauber. The name itself derives from the clients German heritage, meaning Magic.
The garments are crafted in Australia’s most sustainable mill, are ethical, 100% Australian grown, spun and knitted. The swing tag needed to show an earthiness but also a sense of luxury. Two different paper stocks were used for tangible texture.

Daily Food Co source seasonal and local produce from regional farmers to prepare handmade, fresh food for the soul (it’s good, I’ve tried it!) A fun illustration was developed with a sustainability focus, incorporating all aspects of their business including a little nod to the owners French heritage.

Katrina Kellett is an indie yarn dyer, creating small batches from her harbour town studio in Newcastle, New South Wales. The logomark blends her coastal location, her craft and her love of whisky! Australian yarn for the adventurous spirit.

Illustration inspired by the 19th Century Victorian hand lithographs.
Create, Communicate, Coach. A simple monogram was created with an abstract compass in mind. Much like a coach, it offers guidance to navigate the storm. The characters also form a subtle reference to the rugged ‘South West’, where the client calls home.

To celebrate recent conservation works completed on the historic Ciderhouse at Tarndwarncoort Homestead, a special heritage storytelling event was held. The brief was to create something that referenced the history of the location, but that also showed progression - modern heritage.

Pomecramé create beautiful hand-knotted macramé pieces for the home. The brand has a natural aesthetic with organic linework and colours deriving from the fibers used in the making of the final pieces.

A dream collaboration for the Great Ocean Road Woollen Mill and The Purl Box. The brief was to create a logo with reference to the night sky and so a hand drawn whimsical style was developed with the addition of the flax plant, which forms part of the magic of the yarn blend.
